Air Service
Whether your air travel needs are for business or pleasure, Jefferson County is ideally serviced by its own Jefferson County Airport (Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport) and Denver International Airport (DIA).

Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport

Situated perfectly between Denver and Boulder on U.S. 36, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA), is the closest airport to both downtown Denver and Boulder. Classified as a general aviation reliever airport, RMMA relieves general aviation traffic from Denver International airport. International travelers at RMMA have access to an on-site U.S. customs office operating 24 hours per day. The absence of landing fees at the airport make clearing U.S. customs easy and cost effective.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) completed the design and construction of a new 125-foot Air Traffic Control Tower. The tower opened summer of 2011.
